Project Hearts, Hands and Minds is a comprehensive activity designed and implemented by a group of young leaders from MAS SJN in collaboration with their international partners. The primary
mission of this program is to empower participants to discover their skills, interests, and strengths. Beyond fostering self-awareness, the project aims to help participants leverage the competencies
they identified during Erasmus+ mobilities, equipping them more effectively for their professional futures. The program is structured into two weeks, each playing a critical role in achieving its objectives. One
week takes place in the Czech Republic, while the other unfolds in France, offering participants a dynamic intercultural experience that nurtures personal growth. This two-week format reflects a
deep understanding of the developmental needs of the target group: 14- and 15-year-old young people.
The first week focuses on workshops addressing employment opportunities in rural areas. Young people in these regions often face a unique set of challenges due to the limited job prospects
compared to urban settings, which can make it harder for them to envision clear career paths. This initiative is designed to equip participants with the tools and mindset necessary to tackle these
obstacles and make the most of the opportunities available to them. Through this activities project not only seeks to prepare participants for their individual careers but also inspires them to contribute positively to the rural communities they live, fostering sustainability, in the face of limited resources.

The second part of the project focused on self-knowledge.
Through informal learning methods, participants explored their skills, talents, and interests. They reflected on their strengths, the support systems they have, and the resources available to
them. Together, we delved into the topic of social inequality and how to approach it effectively. We showcased various social inclusion initiatives and community support activities led by the Local
Action Group of St. John of Nepomuk, while also involving participants in hands-on craft assistance. By the end of the project, participants had gained a deeper understanding of their strengths, abilities,
and available resources.
